After a gel bait treatment, do not use household insect sprays near the bait, and keep benches clean so the bait is the most attractive food around. It is normal to see more cockroaches for a few days as they come out to feed. For outdoor cockroaches, keep drain covers in place, fix leaking taps and clear leaf litter away from the walls. In older homes with open subfloors, sealing gaps around pipes also helps.
